SnapDoc ("SnapDoc," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information collected when you visit our website and use our services, including signing in with Google.

In short:

• We only access and manage files inside your dedicated "SnapDoc" folder in Google Drive.
• We cannot view, search, or manage any other folders or files in your Google Drive.
• You remain in control and can revoke permissions at any time.
• We never sell your data.

Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we collect only what is needed to run SnapDoc:

• Basic profile information: your name, email address, and profile image (via the openid, email, and profile scopes).
• Google Drive data limited to your dedicated "SnapDoc" folder and the files you create there (via the drive.file scope). We cannot see or access other folders or files in your Google Drive.
• Application-specific settings stored in your Google Drive appDataFolder (via the drive.appdata scope).

How We Use Information

• Authenticate your identity and allow you to log in.
• Create, organize, and manage documents inside your "SnapDoc" folder in Google Drive.
• Store application-specific settings and preferences in your Google Drive appDataFolder.
• Process your documents (that you place in the SnapDoc folder) to generate summaries, extracted data, and chat responses using Google Gemini services as configured by SnapDoc.

We do not browse, read, or index any other folders or files in your Google Drive.

We do not use your Google information for advertising purposes.

Google Drive Access Is Limited to Your SnapDoc Folder

• We request the drive.file scope so SnapDoc can create and edit files that it creates and manages inside your "SnapDoc" folder.
• We store small app settings in the private appDataFolder using the drive.appdata scope.
• We do not request broad Google Drive scopes such as drive.readonly or drive.
• We cannot see, search, or manage anything outside your "SnapDoc" folder.

Data Storage and Retention

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We only store the minimum necessary data to operate our service (e.g., your email for account management and subscription status).
• Your documents live in your own Google Drive. We do not keep a separate master copy by default.
• For functionality and processing, files may be temporarily cached or stored, but only for as long as necessary to support your account.
• You may delete files you created with SnapDoc at any time from your Google Drive, including by removing the "SnapDoc" folder.
• Technical logs (containing non-sensitive metadata) may be retained briefly for security, troubleshooting, and reliability.

Sharing and Disclosure

We do not share your personal information or Google Drive data with third parties except:

• With service providers who support our infrastructure and are bound by confidentiality obligations (e.g., hosting, Google APIs, AI processing providers).
• For payments and subscriptions, with Stripe to process transactions. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
• For analytics and account administration, limited account metadata may be stored in Google BigQuery.
• When required by law, legal process, or governmental request.

Cookies

We use essential cookies or similar technologies to manage sessions and authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your Choices

• You may revoke SnapDoc’s access to your Google Account at any time via Google Account Permissions.
• You may delete your "SnapDoc" folder and any files within it at any time from Google Drive.
• You may request deletion of account-related data we may hold by contacting us at support@snapdocuments.com.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

AI/ML and Limited Use Disclosures

• SnapDoc may process document content you explicitly upload or select to generate summaries or structured metadata using AI models (e.g., Google Gemini). Processing occurs only for the features you use.
• SnapDoc’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
• We do not use Google user data to build or train generalized AI/ML models that benefit other customers without your explicit consent.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
