How We Use Information
- Authenticate your identity and allow you to log in.
- Enable you to create, store, categorize, and manage documents through SnapDoc in your Google Drive.
- Store application-specific settings and preferences in your Google Drive

. - Provide access to files you authorize us to read or manage, including via the in-app Google Picker.
- Process your documents to generate summaries, extracted data, and chat responses using Google Gemini services as configured by SnapDoc.
We do not use your Google information for advertising purposes.
Data Storage and Retention
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We only store the minimum necessary data to operate our service (e.g., your email for account management and subscription status).
- Google Drive files may be temporarily cached or stored to provide functionality and processing, but are retained only as long as necessary to support your account.
- You may delete files you created with SnapDocuments at any time from your Google Drive.
- Technical logs (containing non-sensitive metadata) may be retained briefly for security, troubleshooting, and reliability.
Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share your personal information or Google Drive data with third parties except:
- With service providers who support our infrastructure and are bound by confidentiality obligations (e.g., hosting, Google APIs, AI processing providers).
- For payments and subscriptions, with Stripe to process transactions. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
- For analytics and account administration, limited account metadata may be stored in Google BigQuery.
- When required by law, legal process, or governmental request.
Cookies
We use essential cookies or similar technologies to manage sessions and authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your Choices
- You may revoke SnapDocuments’ access to your Google Account at any time via Google Account Permissions.
- You may request deletion of account-related data we may hold by contacting us at support@snapdocuments.com.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
AI/ML and Limited Use Disclosures
- SnapDoc may process document content you explicitly upload or select to generate summaries or structured metadata using AI models (e.g., Google Gemini). Processing occurs only for the features you use.
- SnapDoc’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- We do not use Google user data to build or train generalized AI/ML models that benefit other customers without your explicit consent.
